Vote: Cam Janssen vs Arron Asham Nov 7, 2009
Cam Janssen vs. Arron Asham Janssen skates over in front of the benches and hits Asham. Asham turns around, offers, and Janssen obliges. This was a relatively even fight, with both fighters attempting but not landing much. Finally Janssen appears to land a couple at the end, one of which may have sent Asham to the ice. On first view, I'll call it draw/edge Janssen.

Cam Janssen vs. Arron Asham
They meet up at the blueline, drop the gloves and square off. They grab on and wait a little bit. They both jab with the left and throw some overhand rights but nothing much. But then Janssen lands a hard right that sends Asahm to his knees, and Janssen lands another big right while he's down, but Asham gets back up. They exchange some more punches and then Asham lands one that knocks Janssen off balance. Janssen gets back up and wants to keep going as he has his right arm cocked but the refs intervene and break them up. DRAW. GOOD scrap! They each landed some good shots at the end.

I'd give the edge to Cam based on sending Smasham down twice, but it looked more like Arron was being knocked off balance as opposed to being "rocked".
Ashams shot at the end looked to land clean on Cam's jaw, buckling his knees temporarily (he was ready to get back up and keep it going). Either way, Cam landed more and gets the nod. |

After Janssen knocked him down again, right? Or was I seeing things? Looked like the second one buckled him a bit.

Besides, read the last line. I said "On first view, I'll call it draw/edge Janssen", meaning it could be either. I think my call is pretty right on too, as almost everyone else has called it similar to my call.

janssen knocked asham down twice but i think the first one was more of a balance issue, but asham gets up not fased and knocks cam down himself, it was a good fight. like i said draw or edge janssen
