Vote: Ryane Clowe vs Justin Abdelkader Feb 19, 2012
Ryane Clowe vs Justin Abdelkader Feb 19, 2012 ...

Abdelkader hits Clowe, Clowe answers...
A lot of jersey grabbing, a lot of 'locking' tried... not much landing... not much of a good fight in my opinion. I expected more from Clowe against the 'not exaclty Bob Probert' Justin Abdelkader... He did over powered Abdelkader but not as much as I thought. I expected a beating.

Win Clowe in an average fight (maybe a 4.5/5 ?). But I expected more from him...

Win Clowe, I thought he landed quite a few and rag dolling Abdelkader to the ice 2x!

Looked like a lot of Clowe's shots glanced off the face didn't straight up tag him.

Win Clowe, props to Abdelkader stepping WAY out of his fighting class

I give no point for takedowns like that...

Also, Clowe threw some punches but it looks like only one seems to land correctly...

I counted at least 4 good punches by Clowe that connected, but didn't seem to faze Gator too much. He stayed up and hung in there even though he was totally outclassed. So props to him for taking on one of the better fighters in the league and staying right with him. Just to bad he didn't get a few licks of his own in. Win Clowe.

Ryane Clowe is far from being one of the best fighters in the league.

Win Clowe, good on Abdelkader for stepping up, just clearly out muscled and out positioned as well though.

Didn't see the fight or watch the clip, but just going on the description this is just another example of why the Wings should have a tough guy. Their scouts could find one and one that could skate well enough to play.

Has Holland ever really said why they choose not to?

I didn't say best, I said better. And everytime I've seen him fight, he's done pretty darn good. I wish Abdelkader was as good as Clowe. I'd feel a whole lot better for the Wings knowing he was that good.

Terrible description.

These two have a bit of a history as they
"fought" in the playoffs, although it was
mostly Clowe beating on Abdelkader. Fight
started behind the play and looked like it was
a mutual agreement. This was all Clowe.
Clowe nearly dropped Abdelkader right away, landing a couple shots which put him to his
knees. Abdelkader gets up and Clowe throws
a bomb of an uppercut which nearly took
Abdelkader's head off, than gets the helmet
and visor off Abdelkader's head and just
misses with another uppercut. Abdelkader
tries to tie up and they grapple for a bit. Clowe misses with a right and Abdelkader lands a short left, Clowe tries two more rights that Abdelkader slips or locks out, than Abdelkader throws a right off balance and Clowe throws a looping right which misses and Abdelkader goes down from momentum. Abdelkader does a good job not getting killed but this was all Clowe.

That's exactly what I saw, a fairly clear win for Clowe….. don't know what FCM was rearing to in a few posts calling it a draw and essentially saying Clowe didn't do anything.

I know of another power forward who would be killed for doing what Clowe did today. Must be the sweater......Interesting.
Wow man really? He is no spot picker. hes a beast. he goes after guys he doesnt need to fight all the time. hes gone after Orr, Biz, Engellend, Parros, accepted many challenges. Sometimes he cant fight due to injury, close game. Hes on the 2nd line so sometimes you just cant screw things up.

WHY THE HELL ARE THE WINGS GETTING SYMPATHY HERE?
