Rules for this forum

I accidently deleted the rules topic, here's what I can remember
* Only current NHL fights go here.
* List subjects in proper format. Best way is to do "City at City MM/DD/YY", if it's Islanders or Rangers (both NY), write out the names. Please use the American style date format. This makes searches much easier and is appreciated by everyone.
* If you have not seen the fight, do not start a thread. We all see the boxscores and all want to know what happened, if someone sees the fight, they will post about it.
* Please be as descriptive as possible.
* If you do not agree on the outcome of the fight, that's ok. We all have opinions, it's ok to share. Personal attacks on a poster will not be tolerated.

As always, be sure to check the Help Desk forum for announcements and updates about the site.

Remember
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE label the games properly.

For example
Someone at Someone 10/28/03

Use the / not - please write "at" with spaces between the teams.

This makes searching MUCH easier, and if you ever have to search for a game, you'll really appreciate it.

Do NOT make requests for clips in game threads. We will make the safe assumption that everyone would like to see a clip of every fight. Clip requests do nothing but clutter a thread and we do not need to clean up every thread. As we provide clips for every fight, any non-site clip will be deleted from this forum.

Thank you!

With the new NHL season upon us, I'd recommend that everyone brush up on these rules. It simply makes for a cleaner Brawl forum. Thanks.

If you're not going to leave a detailed description, don't start a thread.
Thank you.

Help a brother out here.
Apparently it needs to be spelled out, so....
1) No trolling in game threads.
2) No pointing out trolling in game threads in said game threads.

We get it.
"Brashear stinks."
"You said Brashear stinks, you troll."

Sorry. Please refrain from both the activities from above.

Just a few reminders for everyone...

Please use proper format when starting a thread

Please title a thread properly when creating one. Someone at Someone 10/28/03 is the correct way to do so. The same sort of rules apply inside of the thread as well. The correctly spelled names of the two combatants should be at the top of every thread in order for player tags to be generated and users to be able to easily identify the fight that occured. Example - "Bob Probert vs Tie Domi"

DO NOT start a thread without a recap. Threads starting off with "So and so just fought, what happened" or "Player A just beat Player B" will be automatically deleted. Please be as descriptive as possible when recapping a fight. Moderators reserve the right to be able to edit the first post of a thread in order to improve a recap or post video among other things.

Global forum rules still apply

Conversation can become heated between fans of opposing teams, especially those that are involved in a popular rivalry. The global forum rules still apply. Inflammatory posts and trolling are prohibited. Personal insults towards another user will not be tolerated.

Please try to stay on topic. Debates about which team has more "homers" or "fanboys" are not necessary and neither are discussions concerning something other than the game or the fight itself. Threads can always be created in Hockey Chat and another forum on the site. Try and keep chatter to a minimum. Always remember that the Chat Room is constantly open for business.

No clip requests!

Do NOT make requests for clips in game threads. We will make the safe assumption that everyone would like to see a clip of every fight. We will usually have clips of each fight from the previous night posted within the next day or so. If for some reason we still don't have a certain fight or haven't received video yet, make a little request in the Video Clips forum, just be sure to wait a few days first.
