Agreed it would be nice to see Downey in the line up, even only playing 4 mins a game makes him a physical presence nonetheless

Think he was talking about physical play. You really can't expect a guy as small as Hudler to be out there mixing things up. Hudler is the best player on the 4th line. Hudler is one of the last guys I'd like to see out of the lineup. Helm & Maltby are the only guys that I could see putting Mac in for and I think we might see that this next game.

No one is going to say that Downey is a skilled forward or has good hands, as his career numbers show. He makes up for it with his decent hockey sense and the hustle he's shown this year, but there is no way that he plays in the Finals on a team this deep. The Pens did target Franzen and Co, and maybe that gets McCarty back in the lineup. Maybe. But no Downey unless it gets really ugly.

If Hudler wasn't 5'6 you wouldn't be nagging on him as much, but he gets the job done even if he is a midget

Hudler has showed some fire this season in some scrums but would die in a fight. I heard this Helm kid was supposed to hit and mix it up a little what's up with him. I would like to see Helm pick up the hitting. Maltby probably won't sit because he is a pentaly killer, but the dude is not that the good. Mac better be in the next game for sure.

I said nothing about him being small you don't have to be 6'5 to fight. I just don't care for him really that is all.

Yeah but they could have played him in the Colorado series when the team was up 3-0. Or the Dallas series. Show him a little bit of love...he really helped the teams physical edge that ended with them not having a lot of injurys this season and he gets repaid by not dressing a single game? The wings win and he doesn't get his name on the cup even after the solid season he played for the team. Asshole move by Babcock if you ask me he should have played a game this playoffs season considering the Wings have pretty much crushed every team they have played to this point. Hopefully Babcock has at least talked with Downey about it.

When the Wings get to the cup clinching game it would be nice to see Downey get in there. He was there all year for the team. I know some people that are in now are in because the are more skilled but he helped this team all year. Helm is a young guy that is a future grinder but he should sit.

^^^ Oh I agree. I want Downey in there too. I love the guy, I'm just being realistic about the situation.

He took some good shots and was throwing some looked like the linesmen tied his arm up and little though.

Roberts would have destroyed Datsyuk if the linesman didnt jump in and grab Roberts. Datsyuk had no intention on fighting and was saved by the linesman

But is that really all that respectable. I mean Datsyuk was probably the weakest guy on the ice for both teams. Roberts being the toughest.
