Grow up douche bag. If you knew what an enforcer really was, you would agree.

Laraque doesn't enforce. He skates around having friendly chats with everyone and they ask him to fight once in a while and he says yes and good luck. In other words, he's too nice on the ice.

He's a terriffic fighter, that goes without saying but it's really quite meaningless without the intimidation. At least in the last few years, I haven't seen him instigate anything or just grab someone and beat their face in for something they did. He simply doesn't intimidate people he's not going to fight.

Tie Domi, Bob Probert, Dave Schultz and many others were true enforcers, they scared the bajeezuz out of everyone, they didn't care who it was. It's a big difference but thanks for calling ME dumb. I've probably forgotten more about hockey than you'll ever know but that's ok.

Nope, I saw it. What you obviously didn't see in my post was that Laraque doesn't scare anyone that he IS NOT going to fight. He doesn't intimidate the other TEAM. He will make people like McCarty back down or not fight him and for good reasons. McCarty is dumb but he aint stupid. lol In that situation, there is no way Darren drops leather with Laraque, any fool knows that. Early in the game, no score, Detroit owning the possession, why would he do that?

If you have to ask, you obviously don't know much about hockey and less about playoff hockey.

If anything, and no one has really mentioned this, Laraque might be a better player to have out there than Roberts. Roberts does try to intimidate people and will get stupid penalties for it. laraque won't and has a similar chance of scoring.

I loved Gary Roberts but he is obviously way past his prime in every category.

You numbskulls debating on who would beat who in a fight are just hilarious, you really are. Terry Carkner? Ummm....who gives a crap? The guy was a loser his whole career. The only person he ever scared was his old lady when he walked in the door after a game.

I realize you have nothing better to do but at least be realistic for crying out loud. "Gary Roberts would kill so and so in a fight" "Eat Me" " You're an idiot"

What is this? 5th grade? My daddy could beat up your daddy. Ha!

for what it's worth, it's looking like Holmstrom won't be playing tomorrow and McCarty will find his way back into the line up on the 4th line. Cleary will be taking Holmstrom's spot on the 1st line.

Wait, aren't you that little goober who claimed Riley Cote was a middleweight? Ah, yes, it's all coming back to me now...unfortunately.

You're also that guy who claims to "have a life," hence, your low post count. The fact of the matter is that you rarely have anything even remotely intelligent to add to a thread, and your keyboard is splattered with drool and cum, making it difficult for you to put a semi-coherent post together.

You are incorrect, we all know Ben Eager holds every weight class's belt.

True, you can't argue with results.

BUT I just want to say a few words of defence for Downey. Yes he did have several post-lockout years of getting his ass handed to him, but this year he has taken on Parros (win), Shelley (draw) and Fedoruk (draw) 2 of which TKO'd him in the past so if you were to look at how good Downey is NOW then people need to start realising hes a much improved fighter.

What has this got to do with Pens v Wings anyway? Downeys not even going to get a game...
PLUS, I know Im jumping in the Way Back Machine here, but I can never forget this wonderful piece of Downey history:

DISCARD WHAT YOU DON'T NEED!

Tonight may be the last hope for a legit fight; if not a purse-swinging attack.

The fight with Roberts was actually Ben Eager displaying how classy he was, by not hitting the elderly Gary. If he wanted to, he could have taken Laraque and Roberts at the same time.
