These games certainly dont have the fire they used to which sucks. I could see Oleksy getting involved in his first big "rivalry" game but I wont hold my breath.

He is injury prone though, and his lack of points is unacceptable, but I'd rather watch him from an entertainment POV than 95% of the other players on this team.

I've dealt with him in a couple of different settings and he seemed like a decent guy. Granted there wasn't any drinking going on or anything like that, but I saw your comments the other day about him being a jerk and it just struck me as odd (he's very involved with local hospitals, charities, and the like...not just as a "celebrity", but as a legitimately concerned volunteer)

Anyway, I don't pretend to know him, I just thought how I saw him and how you see him are at odds, and was trying to ferret that out.
Admittedly most of my dealings with him were several years ago. Lets just say that I had contact with him on several occasions when he played for Frannies. His brother was a complete douche trying to run kids at Jr. Sabres tryouts ( ended up getting his ass kicked). I understand its possible that he has grown and matured, we all do... But my dealings with him back then were negative, and I have run across him in other scenarios more recently and while he wasnt a Kane level douche, he still came off as a cocky dick. Is it possible I'm biased against him? Yes, but honestly I have heard more negatives than positives on the subject.

I will agree that he is a good penalty killer. I will commend him for his charity work. I will say that he draws more penalties than he takes ... but IMO he's still over paid and under performing.

I think Boulton might get one more shift, McDonald already took his last one.

Sabres up 1-0. Kaleta and Ott doing their thing. Hitting picking up. Getting a little testy. May see a MW or LW tilt before all is said and done.

Frigging Lundquist draws a penalty on a dive. Ive lost a lot of respect for Henrik!!

Not to mention it was Girardi who hit him. Week call on the Devils there.
