No White tonight, looks like Habs coach teaching him a "lesson". Moen is in.

McClement was expected to be at centre with Frazer McLaren and Colton Orr, although Carlyle cautioned he has a lot of options with his forward lines.

Tough forward Mike Brown skated but Carlyle wasn't optimistic about getting him into the lineup just yet. Brown has missed the last five games with a shoulder injury.

"This is only Mike's second full day of practice with the club," the coach said. "We have to make sure our people are 100 per cent ready."

I haven't seen anything official that Boulton is out. Unfortunately the projected lines have Finley out with Lubo taking him spot. Bailey is back but Okposo is sick so he might be in, that would give Boulton a shot at being in.

All in all, I'm snowed in and I'll have another boring Islanders loss on TV later...**** this.

Talk on twitter is that both Finley and Boulton will be out for Visnovsky and Bailey. Looks like Martin alone against a tough Sabres line-up (never thought I'd type that again.) What should happen though is Reasoner gets scratched for Bailey and Boulton stays, I understand the Vis move though as much as I like Finley

This is probably McLaren's last chance. Although it would be nice, I can't see a 4th line of McLaren-Brown-Orr because there's literally no one to scratch. McClement has been a leader and is a defensive wiz, Komarov is 2nd in league hits, and Frattin has 8 points in 6 games.

In a perfect world, Steckel would be waived so McLaren could stay up as the extra forward.

Except Steckel's a centre and none of Brown, Orr, or McLaren are.

There was talk of converting Brown to center as he usually takes the draw if McClement/Steckel are kicked out.

I hate saying this, but they way I see it, it may be Orr's last chance.

McLaren has been getting all of the scrap and making some decent plays out there... I like Orr, and would prefer to have both but reality isn't as such.

Orr needs to make something happen tonight..

There hasn't been anyone Orr can go with lately. And he's tried with Erskine but got turned down. If Thornton had been in for Boston, no doubt they'd have a go. If Winnipeg dresses Peluso, same deal. I think Orr's job is safe.

Good points, IAB.

It isn't the quantity of the fights he's had this year as much as the quality. He makes some players pause, before dropping them, which can be as effective for your mates as a fight istself.

That's odd. Murray is the type of defenseman every team wants.
