Uh yeah. Crosby has missed the equivalent of a full season due to injury. Before then, he was assaulting the league. Still put up good numbers in his limited action last season, and is right now looking to win yet another scoring title despite not being at his best for much of the season so far.

But yeah, he suuuuuuuuuuuuucks.

I like Giroux and all, but call me when he actually wins something.

keep it classy guys, Crosby is a premier talent in the league. Hes the best player in the world for a reason. Giroux is top 5 in the nhl, which is no slouch. I hate crosby and i dont have to like him, but anyone who says hes not the best in the league is ignorant as sh1t

Dude, we're talking about Crosby and Giroux. Not a couple of goons. They don't get paid to fight, which is something that is apparently lost on everyone wanting to see them go. If they go, it will totally be in the heat of the moment. So don't expect it to happen.

Well then, hopefully Rinaldo runs Crosby and puts him on the LTIR to bump Giroux into the top 4 in the NHL.

Nobody said he sucks. Well, he does suck, but not at hockey.

He's played 434 NHL games to 285 for Giroux. Yes, Crosby has been injured but it goes to Giroux's toughness that he's only missed a grand total of 5 games since the beginning of his first full NHL season.

Giroux has been to the Finals and if he had Fleury in net over Michael Leighton he very well may have won something. Kind of like had he been on the Olympic roster in 2010 he would have a gold medal too. Besides, it's not as if the Flyers aren't winning Cups because of a lack of production on Giroux's part. He's brought it in the playoffs every season. Furthermore, and I know you've heard this ad nausea at this point, but not every team can tank 3 seasons in a row and load their team with #1 picks. Those other guys played a bit of a part in Crosby's success, wouldn't you say?

Crosby obviously got off to a better start to his career and is obviously a better point getter barring last season, but it's unfair to compare awards at this point in their respective careers.

I don't predict fights because it's a total crap shoot but f*ck it, Crosby and his 30 extra pounds vs. Giroux tonight.

Just calling it as I see it. It's not just this thread, but several others, too.

You know, I hear that all the time about the Pens tanking 3 seasons in a row to get those picks. No, they simply weren't very good, and there's a lot of reasons for that that I won't discuss in YSTB.

And note, I didn't say that I wouldn't like to see Giroux and Crosby go at it. I'd love to see it, because I think Crosby would kick his ass But it's not going to happen.

Bordeleau/Reaves gets my southern region all tingly.

That sounded gayer than I meant it to.

Who cares who has more points...I want to see some fists fly. Lavi will put in the softest lineup possible, NBC will promote this "rivalry" and then Pierre the gerbil rapist and NBC will bitch about fights if they do actually occur...it's maddening. Like someone mentioned you never know what to expect in these games anymore. I just want to see some intense physical hockey...is that too much to ask for?
