Yesterday the Vancouver media was talking about the lack of deterrent / enforcer on the Canucks, how when Backes bumped Luongo nobody looked up Backes. The Canucks might start something today to try and prove the media wrong but at the end of the day, the Canucks lack a true enforcer.

I have no problem with Bollig running the goalie and even injuring him, it might finally get in Gillis' head that the Canucks need a legit heavyweight.

Funny how this all comes up considering two guys who can really chuck'em in Hordichuk (Former Canuck) and big Matt Kassian could have been had for free...

But then agian it's not like they or any other team would have to trade much to acquire one of them if teams like the Canucks really wanted to go down that road.

The 1st year I started following hockey fights (1997-98), they had 103 fights and 2169 penalty minutes. They were a very tough team with Brashear, McAllister, Scatchard, Staios, Strudwick, Odjick, Walker, etc. I wish for those days again.

If my memory serves me right, I remember the Flames having a lineup up Sandy McCarthy and the late Mike Peluso with a young and eager Steve Begin centering them lol.

Not to mention the likes of Jamie Huscroft, Todd Simpson. Flames vs Canucks was always exciting...

Maybe I'm retarded but when you say the Late Mike Peluso, are you saying he's dead? I didn't know that.

I doubt Aulie fights mclaren or Orr.

Maybe Pelech will fight Reaves tonight, Pelech might not be in lineup yet.

It's all good brother. He isn't dead by any means. Just meant I grew up watching all those old tough guys.
