As for Bordeleau that's just how Sacco operates. Koci averaged 3:03 in 43 games his first season in Colorado, including 0:02 one night and a fight. Sacco likes a heavy in the line-up a reasonable amount of games but doesn't like to give them much ice time at all, besides, if they were going to fight, early in the first is perfect for a staged fight. It's pretty obvious the Preds and Oilers didn't give their tough guys any chance in hell this year. Only time I've ever seen Sacco give a tough guy serious ice-time was when Koci was converted to D at the end of that season the Avs did horrible in 2011. Whenever Bordy plays more than 4 minutes surprises me. I wouldn't read much into the benching except that Bordy might sit the next couple games out. he hasn't played in roughly three weeks and you want to him to go to colorado and battle the elements just to fight bordeleau?? that doesn't make sense, he'd be asking to get beat and badly.
secondly, im guessing you didn't watch the game to make that assessment on bordeleau/sacco today. he took a really bad penalty and the second it happened, all the beat reporters knew he was done. it wasn't just sacco, it was bordeleau's fault today. |

That's right I didn't watch the game but I read on Twitter that Bordy got benched for an interference penalty and saw his final ice-time at 2:52, when he has played less than that in 2 games this season anyway. I just don't see how that matters when they could have gone first shift, before the penalty, or how this is an unusual event. I see that about the mile high air but McGrattan will be just fine to go March 30th when they see each other next if McGrattan comes back and plays a couple games for the Preds prior (CBJ and Minny probably his best chances), but obviously that almost certainly won't happen. Richard Clune now has Brian McGrattan's old roster spot but I wasn't expecting it to be this absolute. Hell, Yip didn't even play today. Last edited by Stevens Lindros; 02-18-2013 at 06:54 PM. |

Damn, wild fight between Orr and Parros!
Edge to Parros. He landed a couple early that staggered Orr. I hope they go again!
