I'm wondering if Brashear is hurt, doesn't make sense not to dress him for Calgary knowing how physical they play

Okay, because without him, the Rangers are soft, Mcgrattan got in Dubisky face in the warm up, then their Captain gets knocked silly and the only response was a "hit" from one of their D-men, sad

I disagree. I saw Rupp land a couple of good right hands on Staubitz for the win.

Hopefully Rupp and Staubitz is the undercard for Shelley and Godard.

During the second intermission Rangers announcers and broadcast team are championing for the instigator rule to be removed. Mike Keenan basically said its ridiculous how teams are so fearful of having the book thrown at them on the ice that they won't retaliate to stick up for a teammate after dirty plays. Michaleti (sp?) the Rangers color commentator also said he wished the league would go back to its old ways because playes have nothing to fear when playing dirty, and he claimed there were less injuries before because of this. In the past if you gave a guy a headshot you knew you had to defend yourself.

I couldn't agree more with them. Maybe, this will be the offseason where the instigator is finally removed.

ShelleyFan, that's because Sam Rosen, the Rangers' regular play-by-play guy, isn't there tonight. If so, he'd be hiding under a table saying how fighting should be banned, not the instigator removed.

Now that VF has posted the videos, check out the thread and you may be able to see in the Staubitz-Rupp fight where I thought on first view that more than one of Rupp's punches landed.
