not really, Both times Hordi was already on the ice, with the exception of him trying to get up and Staubitz shoving him down. As for the Turtle, Hordi was already belly on the ice after the hit and Staubitz come in throwing punches, hardly a chance for Hordi to get up while someone is throwing punches.

EDIT-Hordi said during a first intermission interview.. "I will be fighting Staubitz before the end of the night"….. just like he was gonna light up the Sedins his first game against the Nucks

I've never been a fan of Hordi. It was either last year or the year before, but Hordi ran Fleury, Godard challenged him and he wouldn't go. This is a typical Hordi move, he only fights when he wants to.

Fighting wise........ sure I'll give that to you. He's been playing much better hockey though from that point on. He's a regular and physical Dman. He'll be in the league for a long time. I would like to see him go more for sure. Hopefully he'll finally get Konopka!

He only fights when the coach tells him to(see Boogaard vs Hordichuck)

Did you miss the instance in the first when Hordi skated by him, gave him the stick tap, turned right around to face him, dangled his gloves and asked him to dance?

In the intermission they inverviewed Hordi and he said that on the first incident, Staubitz asked him, he said he was tired (end of a shift) and 15 seconds LATER Staubitz jumps him...

Then on their next shift together Hordi flat out asks him in the neutral zone and Staubitz won't go...

Their following shift Staubitz apparently can't take a hit - gives him the lumber across the face as Hordi's coming in to hit him along the boards and then jumps him on the ground... How is that tough?

Yes, Hordi is being a bit of a b!tch tonight - but he's drawn 4 minor penalties from Staubitz and did ask him to go flat out once... Nobody can deny that. It's not like he's hiding.

Maybe there is hope in Edmonton? Finally, a guy in charge who doesn't believe Lennart Petrell is a legitimate roster player.

You can't really blame the guy for blowing his knee out in the first 10 seconds of ice he saw can you?
