I think Carkner will be looking hard for a partner tonight, whether it be Orr or anyone else. So far, he has been concentrating on his game as the Isles really want him to take a regular shift. That being said, he started to go after Clarkson in the Devils opener and I think he wants to justify his 3 year big money deal. The Lightning really had no one for him the other day, so my guess is he looks to free up his hands tonight.

As much as I love to watch Orr fight I don't think it would hurt him to take a night off and let one of his teammates step up and fight (brown). Even brown should recognize this and challenge a guy like Martin early. Orr has proved he's back and should be more selective when he fights. When healthy he's top three in the league and should get the respect he deserves. Many others including Probert , Kocur , brashear fought on their terms ALOT. If Orr wants to extend his career he needs to slow down now and be more selective .

Saying that it wouldn't surprise me if he and Carkner fight in the first period or shift together for that matter. Carkner is a dangerous fighter for anyone. He's not always on but he is a big cowboy and is very heavy handed. Orrs speed seems to overwhelm him though and when he stands in front of Orr he's a pretty easy target to hit but one good shot from Carkner is all it takes .

Lets hope the flyers find there balls tonite!!!

Would not be surprised at all if Shelley and Sestito start the game on the same line for their first shift and a fight or 2 happens. Flyers need a spark....its a home game and against the Rangers. Regardless, I think they both have the green light from Lavy to go.

I am also liking the Laughton predictions, just never have seen him fight.

i know its the 2nd home game for the flyers but they didnt fight in the home opener vs pitt. i guarentee that changes tonight with a couple fights.

0-3 start, flat team, playing the Rangers, need a shakeup to get guys going, tough lineup.....your idea makes all too much sense, thats why I think it wouldnt happen.

flyers need some energy (early on), sestito and shelley want to show the organisation how important they can be...
