neil was in the box w/ 6 minutes left when carkner challenged shelley. if shelley fights carkner neil runs around the rest of the game and no one is left to address chris neil.

what jody shelley did is exactly why he's on the team and why he could last in this game even w/o the freakshows SHW's. he's not out their to fight the other teams HW just for fun, he's out there to protect his teammates and respond to cheapshots. thats exactly what he did.

And the cheap shot was when one of his guys left his skates to go after someone on the other side.

No, Homer, Im not looking to argue, Im stating the clear facts of what happened. Being a Philly homer, your used to the ' pack mentality ' where if enough homers for a certain team say something then ' we have to be right '.

Neil went after someone for a hit. A hit which involved your teams supposed ' star ' being cheap. THAT was enforcing. What Shelley did was either being cuffed by a coach or being a coward, take your pick, he turned Carkner down flat and all the non-Philly-homers are going to call him out for it.

That Dallas-Edmonton game was extremely disappointing. I really thought with the way the last game ended that tonight would be a great one. If Dallas could have pulled away then maybe something would have happened but it was a one goal game most the night so nothing.
