Don't get me wrong...i love watching Lecavalier get his licks, but you can't tell me Malkin hadn't had a little to do with Vinny's eventual suckering.

God i love it when the Lightning get blown out. Bunch of *******
When did Malkin attempt to go low?? It looked to me like he avoided Vinny's check and it pissed Vinny off. Malkin definitely succeeded in getting under his skin but there was still no reason for the sucker punch. Feb 12th should be interesting. I expect a response from the Pens. I might be getting tickets to that game, just waiting on my ticket guy to get back to me.

I actually went to the game yesterday.

Labia was very defensive in this fight, I couldn't figure out why he wasn't throwing but I guess we'd have to ask him.

Malkin ducked the check from Vinny and Vinny took it the wrong way. That combined with losing constantly will make anyone's top blow. I'm glad he popped him, fock Malkin.

It's only the 2nd or 3rd time this year that a Lightning player has connected with a good punch.

By the way, the refs sucked donkey balls in this game. They missed at least 4 or 5 obvious calls against the Penguins but that's nothing new.

Vincent Lecavalier Sucker Punch On Evgeni Malkin ...

I dont neccesarily agree with either of the two's actions, but it was still entertaining seeing Malkin get jawwed like that.

I give the benifit of the doubt the Vinny because the Malkin duck was lame and then his little shoulder as they skating up ice that turned into a turtle...

A turtle? I don't see any turtle, I see Malkin dropping his gloves and throwing punches back at butthurt Vinny. And what is wrong with what Malkin did? He tried to protect himself by ducking under the hit, like a whole lot of other players do in exactly the same way. It's not his fault butthurt Vinny decided to throw a hissy fit.

I guess it wasn't a full-on turtle, but he layed his shoulder into Vinny then when Vinny started attacking him from behind (which I dont really agree with either), Malkin sort of ducked out then turned around. Natural reaction I suppose. No turtle. Il admit when I am wrong, when I initially watched it I must have still been sleepy this morning...

But regarding the hit, or the ducked hit rather. Bracing for a hit and lowering your body is one thing and to be expected. But the recent phenomenon of practically dropping to the ice so the guy flies over top of you is weak and very Europeon hockey like.

Not sure why you aren't pissed at Kunitz, who was 3rd man in on what would have been a fight, instead turned into roughing minors.

Also you have said butthurt like 40 times in 3 posts. I know you want Malkin to make your butthurt, but come up with some new material, otherwise you sound like some butthurt loser posting on the internet.

I have no problem with anyone doing this to protect themselves from the "recent phenomenon" of "Canadian Hockey-like" cheapshots to the head or suckerpunching someone who's arms are held by the ref.

Nice try, but not funny at all.

I typed the word butthurt, because that's what Vinny was. Which is a shame, because I've always liked and respected him. But the fact of the matter is he totally overreacted to what Malkin did, and I have no problem calling him out on it. If you don't like it, well, I really don't give a damn.

As for Kunitz, he did what he had to do. Malkin should not have had to take Vinny on. Someone had better challenge and fight him in the game next month, that's for damn sure.
