Eric Godard vs. Chris Neil

These two square off in front of the Pens net and they come together.

Neil gets some props for fighting Godard when he's "not a heavyweight", but Godard got the better of this fight as I saw him land a few lefts and a few rights, while Neil swung and missed mostly.

Pretty good fight here, godard connected more but neil hung in there and tossed em with the giant killer. Godard gets the win.

Neil did a good job against Godard. I need a replay befor i can call this one. Possible draw maybe edge Godard.

Neil answers the bell and puts a good showing in but Godard lands the better punches and wins this fight. A good show of respect and the end of the fight too.

Hats off to Neil he held his own. Edge goes to Godard. Im watching the game on TV, finally we got to see something.

Goddard looking to change momentum with the Pens behind, I'm impressed Neil obliged.

Win Goddard, but not as dominant as I'd expect. Some nice lefts and a right or two landed. Neil with the big smile and a pat on the back to Goddard at the end.

Lot of big hits in this game, maybe we'll see some more.

Haven't seen the fight yet. Just saw Spezza get his Hat Trick though. I use to play pick up hockey with Jason's brother Rob at the Glen Forest comunity center on the outdoor rink in Mississauga. Both really good guys.

Clear Win Godard.

Godard landed several solid shots and Neil concedes the fight and says "no mas." Neil was hurt and he quit. I am surprised that some are calling a possible draw or edge. Clear win Godard.

I am not surprised Neil obliged Godard. He is a "light" HW and can throw down with anybody. Neil has beaten guys like Belak and Domi. No props for Neil dropping 'em with Godard. Neil did what he was supposed to do.

As Neil is dropping the gloves he gets hit in the foot by a slap shoot from one of his teammates, he doesn't react to it at all thou. Neil definitly wanted the fight to end, so Godard let up on him and let the linesman come in, thats why Neil gave Godard alittle tap after the fight cause he knew Godard could of really hurt him.
