Really impressed by Glass here. Glass early Asham comes back to make it a great fight. Maybe a slight edge Glass. Asham beat him up a little bit last year.

Win Glass.

Liked Glass patting Asham on the shoulder as the refs broke it up.
I dont. You're in a fight, you're playing against the opponent who are the enemy. Patting guys on the back and being all "good job" sucks.

Crosby on the fight:
Quote:
"That was a great fight from both guys," Crosby said. "It got us fired up. We wanted to follow that up, so to get that first (goal) definitely helps."

You could almost give an edge to either guy, solid draw.

I disagree. That's one of the coolest things about hockey fights, the mutual respect.

I was impressed with Glass here. I give him a slight edge, which is usually the best you can expect against Asham.

The game had an auspicious start when Penguins winger Tanner Glass and ex-Penguin Arron Asham engaged in a lengthy, animated fight at center ice immediately after the opening faceoff.

"The longer, the better," Asham said. "Got to get my lungs ready."

That the fight was long is undisputed. Whether it was orchestrated is unclear.

Glass and Asham stretched alongside each other in the neutral zone before the game, but Glass insisted they did not arrange their bout then.

"I just said 'Hi' to him at the faceoff," Glass said. "I've come to know him a little bit. We've been on a few flights together, just by chance.

"I squared off against him. He said, 'Do you want to do this?' I said, 'Sure.'

"He said, 'Good luck.' I like when a guy does that."

Asham and Glass fought to a draw, and that was the best result New York got all night.

Glass got the early start on Asham, but half-way through Asham came on and starting landing the majority of his. Good solid draw. Glass has improved a lot as a fighter

Not a fan of giving edges, so I'm going with a draw. Glass showed a lot in that scrap.

Real good spirited scrap right off the drop of the puck. I don't see how to call that anything but a draw, both guys had their moments in that entertaining fight.
