Long time listener, first time caller...

As a Wings fan and a fighting fan I would have liked Zett to get his gloves off a hell of a lot sooner there. I guess he was banking on the Ref to keep them separated or maybe ?Satan? also having a hold on him early didn't help matters for either party. Only watched it live and it looks like Malkin landed one and Zetterberg landed one while the ref was in (whether it landed on Malkin or the ref I do not know haha).

So my take, haha, is Zetterberg had his gloves glued on early and Malkin has his stick glued on early when he started throwing.

TSN is reporting they are deciding on removing the instigator so he doesn't get suspended. Yea, this league isn't a joke or anything. Funny thing it has some people fooled and they believe this ****. Lemmings.

It is not an automatic suspension. The penalty can be rescinded by the league at their discretion, which they likely will do in this case. They've done it several times in the past already.

Whats up with Datsyuk,Rafalski,Ericsson and Zetterberg being scared to drop ONE effing glove in a fight.. Datsyuk dropped one late.. Ericsson fought perry with one glove.. Wings are fukin pussiez. Osgood dives from nothing, Zetterberg tries to run away from a fight and only starts fighting back once Malkin goes down.

Malkin goes apeshiit but can't really get anything accomplished. He looked to land an uppercut on Z but ends up on all 4's after his haymaker misses... Z was doing something with Malkin on the ice there, not sure if it was short punches or just trying to yank his arm from his jersey, either way, nothing more than a draw.

i know they review them to bad they dont follow their own rules.

(NEW for 2005-06) A player who is deemed to be the instigator of an altercation in the final five (5) minutes of regulation time or at any time in overtime, shall be assessed an instigator minor penalty, a major for fighting, a ten minute misconduct and an automatic one-game suspension.
