Pretty good fight between these two and i'm certainly glad that Lucic and Ruutu fought and not Lucic and Laraque because if that happened the fight would have only been about 20 secs tops, then Laraque would of pulled Lucic down. I love long fights like this, and good to see Lucic answering the bell, despite his broken nose.

Fun fact: if Laraque felt Lucic was running his players then Laraque could go after Lucic and give him no choice but to defend himself IF Laraque really wanted to, kinda like Ruutu did...

Lucic, broken nose and wearnig a shield after coming back from injury, declines Laraque off the draw and he's a *****? no chance.. Laraque can take the extra 2 like Ruutu did if he wanted it bad enough

after watching the fight i have to say lucic with the clear win, some nice solid shots, there is no way this is close to a draw.

Long, long, typical Rutuu fight. I have no idea how Ruins fans are calling this a win Lucic. Only 2-3 good punches combined the entire fight, with what looked like no damage to either. Tons of weak jersey jabs, mostly from Rutuu, and worthless body shots from Lucic.

Rutuu is probably lucky that one didn't open up, but regardless, 100% draw after watching it live. Would need another view to see if more landed.

The Penguins have a long history of employing cheap shot artists: Ruutu, Kasparaitis, Ulfie. What is it with this team? They always need some loser out there trying to hurt people. Then you have whiners like Crosby and Jagr. This is why the Penguins are such a disliked franchise. So it's always nice to see one of their panty-waist players get beat up.

Edge/Win Lucic but I don't think it was as much of a beatdown as some are making it out to be. Pretty good showing when you factor in his tiredness, visor etc.

Anyway second glance Lucic definitely lands the best shot, Rutuu lands the last 3-4 and refs come in. Mute the Bruins broadcast, and watch how many shots Lucic lands to Rutuus Face... ONE. Everything else is helmet and pads.

Lucic is a bitch for taking runs all game and bitching out against Laraque. Rutuuu wouldn't let him back down however at the end of the game. He certainly put up a fight, no taking that away, but don't act like dude "tuned up" Rutuu cause of some some body shots. I like Lucic too, but take the homer glasses off.

I'll give it Draw slight edge Lucic for the best punch after a second viewing, but dude didn't win jack and would have needed swept off the ice if he faced a true/regular fighter - Laraque, **** even Malone
