If Simmonds has a concussion they will go hard on Erskine, 5 games.

LMAO,yeah you can't get a better view then that,he was like 5ft.
away from them, looking right at them as the impact happened.
Our limp wristed boys should have jumped Erskine right then and there.
Take the penalty, who cares, thats your teammate who just got laid out.
Whatever,Lavy would have benched whoever did it anyway....

This. Would rather have had Shelley dressed and address this situation with the guy that did himself rather than Rinaldo going after a guy who is literally the team punching bag.

On the Philly feed you can see Luke Schenn skate down to the the Caps end where Erskine was but I don't know what extent he pushed the issue/if Linesmen escorted him away etc. Regardless, someone should have gone after him. Though Schenn was the only good choice other than Simmer out there to do that.

forget the suspension, we're struggling in the early going and could use a powerplay. how is that not a penalty? theres a ref 20 feet away, all the BS they call nowadays and thats not at least a minor penalty for elbowing or interference?

This is exactly why you need a HW dressed every game. Nobody could respond to Erskine, there is no longer an excuse for the Flyers to keep icing a soft lineup.

Dude other teams have been giving our team the business all year. Giroux gets dumped or messed with every other game and no one does anything about it. For a team that has 7 fights from 7 different players, the Flyers are hella soft. This incident is just the latest example of the Flyers getting disrespected and Lavi's soft style blowing up in his face. How many more head shots is it going to take before Laviolette gets it through his head that he needs some big bangers out there who can play a good game but still be ready to knock on a few doors when the other team gets too comfortable. There is no reason Sestito and Shelley shouldn't be playing right now.

By the way, win Rinaldo. Good to see someone stand up and do something even if it wasn't Erskine. I'll take Rinaldo beating up the Caps' punching bag any day. F*ck that cocksucker Erskine.

Sometimes you have a response like the Rinaldo fight and address Erskine at a later date. Hockey players have long memories, it's up to Lavy to dress the hired guns to take care of the situation next time.

Edge Rinaldo? What was the guy writing the recap smoking?

Rinaldo basically raped Hendricks bigtime.
Win Rinaldo

As for the hit. I love rough stuff but this was very dangerous intentional elbow hit to the head, suspend that bitch. If we dont need something in the league, thats exactly this kind of stuff.

I dont even read whole thread I am afraid I would find posts by confused teenages how that was a clean hit.

EDIT: read the thread and noone was writing about how the hit was clean

Win Rinaldo against Tom Kotsopolous 2.0
Hendricks is a terrible fighter and this fight does not properly address what Erskine did to Simmonds. Too bad there was know one in the Flyers lineup that had the balls to go after Erskine. This is why Shelley needs to be dressed when the other team is carrying a HW. Hopefully Simmonds is alright, that was a nasty looking elbow. I can't believe it went unpenalized meanwhile Backes has a clean hit in the Blues and Wings game and gets a 5 min major. What a joke!

With the rich and long standing tradition of being the bada$$ team in hockey every year, Id be pi$$ed if I were a Philly fan. Lavi is ruining that tradition , it would be a different story if you were frequently collecting Lord Stanleys Cup , but that ain't happenin....
