Joffrey Lupul vs. Tom Sestito

Lupul bumps into a Flyer and Sestito comes in to bump Lupul. Sestito gives Lupul an extra shot with the cross check, and then Lupul throws a glove at Sestito who sheds his mitts and feeds Lupul punches from over and under, connecting with a few good punches before an uppercut buckles Lupul, sending him to the ice and ending the fight.

Easy, TKO win for Sestito

Personally, this is what I would expect from Lupul. He isn't a fighter, he sucks at it. If memory serves, this is the kind of sh*t Sestito made a living out of in Syracuse. That said, I don't hate it because he has to make an impact somehow. Hopefully, the Leafs show up tomorrow and Finger, Caputi and Mueller are all cut.

i didnt see the game, but it sounds like solid enforcing to me. of course id much rather see him step up in weight class, and expect to in the future, but fighting for your teammate is more important than fighting the other HW b/c he's the other HW.

Lupul must have done something (shot the puck at Bob after the whistle?) because a couple Flyers got after him.

Sestito's skating is shockingly bad, I have a hard time seeing him make the team. Flyer fights and goals will be few and far between this year.

yeah sestito's skating was pretty awful. hopefully hes still getting his legs back or something. i thought rinaldo, simmonds, and walker all looked pretty good though

I liked the way he got in Orr's face early and that goal was highlight reel stuff. I can see him making it as a 4th liner if he keeps that going. Matt Read had a real nice game too.

I could be wrong but I think Lupul just bumped with one of the other Flyers behind their net and then they jostled and in came Sestito. Komisarek came in but didn't do much. Lupul gave him a shot and that was a green light for Sestito. From what I saw Lupul didn't do much before all this, unless there was chirping going on

Looked to me like the Flyer rookie got in there and gave Loops some stick which is why he got the extra minor then Sestito followed up. Can't imagine a young tough guy trying to build a rep by going after Lupul. The Leafs were playing like dogs and I could see a vet getting a little chippy like that to light a spark. Just my theory, I could be wrong.

I think you're right. I don't think Lupul was the one lighting any sparks though. He was just as useless as everyone else. The only Leafs I liked were Kadri, Komi(minus the fight) and Franson

Sestito just jumped to the top of my list of guys I wanna see get KO'd this year.

From the video it looks like there was the Flyers #29 to bump into Lupul and Lupul just reacted slightly. Then Sestito came in and KO'ed Lupul.

Don't know if this was necessary. Looked like Sestito was just overmotivated to show he can take a certain role on the Flyers.
