Good job by Neil, was hoping for a real beating but really not too much landing.

RetardedChimp 04-05-2011 10:12 PM

Win Neil although I think he may have only landed one shot as Holmstrom was regaining his feet.

Hit was unintentional, as Smith got hip-checked which shifted his position a split second before Holmstrom made contact. Holmstrom is a nobody, so expect a suspension anyways.

Win Neal.

Long hair *** who threw the blindside elbow will get suspended.

Sapunka16 04-05-2011 10:46 PM

Holmstrom had him lined up for a hit, then Carle checked Lee, slowing him down. Do you really think a rookie playing in his 3rd career game would deliberately attempt to elbow someone while Chris Neil is on the ice?

Win Neil, but he only landed one punch. This was far from a beating but Ben really needs to learn how to balance himself during fights.

The instigator keeps things even?

tim13 04-05-2011 11:38 PM

Holmstrom did the best he could considering the circumstances. He had a few chances to bail and turtle but didn't and he even got back up after falling to his knees.

Good enforcing by Neil to step in but I also don't think the elbow was intentional; it all just happened to fast for him to have done that on purpose. It looks possible in slow mo but when you speed that up I just can't believe his reflexes are quick enough to pull off purposely.

glovesdroppa 04-06-2011 12:17 AM

yeah i dont think the elbow to the head was intentional, he was looking to bump him off the puck.
any old school ECW fans? that hit looked like "Total Elimination" carle swept the leg and holmstrom went up high!

Killah_punk 04-06-2011 12:33 AM

Win Neal.

Neil landed about 3-5 in this technically good bout(Neil-looking one).
CLEAR WIN Neil who handled well his opponent.

djaye 04-06-2011 02:59 AM

Gotta love Neil. Doesnt care about the Bettman package, he just goes after his guy.

I agree it's great, but remember that the Sens have been out of the playoffs for weeks. If they lost this game because of powerplay goals, who would care?

psustu 04-06-2011 08:32 AM

No win here. Neil Jumped him (not saying he shouldn't have) but the kid never stood a chance. Neil started throwing bombs before Holmstrom even knew what was going on.+ Holmstom is a non fighter Neil is a HW..

Can't give a mugging a win.
