My guess - Tried to use the "short bus" insult while showing which side of the joke he was on as a kid.
I love all this speculation about who challenged who in this game. Were you guys on the ice? Did HBO show next weeks 24/7 early with all the mic'd up footage to prove who said what? By the logic some of you guys are using here, I saw Prust turn down Sestito off a faceoff early in the game (before tagging MAB) and I saw Rupp turn down Shelley who poked at him a few times early while they were on the ice together. Do I know thats what happened? Nope, but it looked that way to me at the time. Hopefully the Winter Classic brings a better performance from the Orange and Black, because that effort was just not good enough. Win Prust for that big shot at the end Win Sestito for being the only willing combatant in his scrap (and landing the only shots) |

wish avery was in the game, both teams stocking the line up with a good amount of toughness. Boyle sucks at fighting but he was honestly winded he flew up and down the ice and had to fight. Rangers and Philly are really bringing hockey into the spot light the way the 2 teams are playing

Given the spontaneity with which the fight started, I have no problem with the fact that Bourdon's visor was still on, but it did give him an advantage to start off in the fight with Prust. It looked fairly even for the most part until Prust was able to pop him at the end and looked to hurt Bourdon. I'm inclined to go with a TKO win for Prust.
Sestito and Boyle was a bit of a mismatch in fighting ability, and Boyle pretty much just hung on for dear life. Win Sestito in a pretty weak tilt.

It's kind of funny seeing people trying to coddle Boyle and fix his make-up for him. A guy 6'7" 245 lbs that has to have people make excuses for his ineptitude. When you're that big and have the skills/coordination to be a pro athlete you should more than be able to hold your own in some fisticuffs. I can see a Euro or some 185 lb. kid "taking one for the team", but Boyle doesn't fit into either of those categories does he? Rotfl, taking one for the team at 6'7" 245... |

LMAO.
Bourdon usually ditches the visor if there is time to do so but this was a very quick instant scrap. He should take the visor off completely at this level like Downie finally did when he went to Tampa. Bourdon has some balls at least on a weak physical Flyer D line but he is by no means the fighter Prust is even at their weight differences. |
