Wow, some way off base comments. Bourdon's no champ but he's a tough kid. So Prust fighting him is no big deal and besides, Bourdon initiated it when Prust went to the net. Wah wah wah, he didn't ditch the lid. Prust didn't complain and beat him, I suggest you fools do the same. It's not like they squared up.

You guys act like Sestito made Boyle fight or Carcillo/Gaborik-ed him. (I'm looking mainly at you Chilly) Boyle was at the end of his shift, but who's the one going after Sestito when the whistle blows? Boyle went in, standing up for his goalie and tried to get rough with Sestito who then in kind got rough with him and beat him in a fight.

Complaining that they were "unfair" matchups really is stupid to me. A fights a fight. 2 guys dropped the gloves. If the lesser of the 2 didn't want to, then he could have avoided it. Based on Boyle's size (he did fight Shelley last year), it wasn't a mismatch, and Bourdon as I said isn't a walk in the park.

I've supported Shelley most of the year but tonight ticked me off. He did nothing. He "had words with Rupp" is meaningless. Oh and Erixon went head hunting and missed him, so he challenges him...how about you just jump him and take the two for instigation. Lavy may not be Fred Shero in regards to players fighting, but I'm pretty sure he'd have no problem with Shelley sending a message pounding on a guy who tried to go head hunting. It was the first period none the less. Shelley dropped the ball tonight. He coulda found Rupp, Prust (who he's fought before), or even Bickel (not likely). Disapointing. Both teams needed a jump and he didn't do it for his team.

Hurt shoulder. Still not 100%. It's a joke that you would challenge Prust's toughness. His fight card is as good as anyone's that stands under 205 pounds. Leading the league in scraps and never missing a game in 2 years can take a toll on any player.

point taken and respected but i just don't agree with full assessment...sestito had his gloves dropped before boyle was really even close to deciding to want to dance knowing how long of a shift he just had...boyle kinda had his hands forced by sestito...hence my comment prior.

Sestito declined Rupp and then fought Boyle who was at the end of a 4 minute shift. That is a good tactic if they let you get away with it. I would have sent Rupp out and told my penalty killers to be ready but Boyle is willing to take one for the team so no harm done.

Big hits in this one. The first ten minutes were pretty bad but then it got pretty intense. I love the ref watching Rinaldo rough up Erixon, who was laying on the ice, and then Bickel hold up and challenged Rinaldo and letting it go. A weak call or two but overall they let them play. The Rangers really took it to the Flyers in the third.

Shelley was ready for rupp but rupp somehow lost interest. Prust begs out of fights with Haley, Boulton and Janssen with the bad shoulder excuse and magically heals to fight the rookie, good job by Bourdon. bickel went nowhere near Shelley or Sestito, game was a big letdown as there should have been 3 or 4 more fights.

The 4 minute comment was just a joke. It was a very long shift but no problems. That is what Sestito should do. And if it is Miss Boyle then what is Sestito? You said it yourself. Boyle fought when he was at the end of a shift and Sestito wouldn't. What is your nickname for Averytito?

Bickel went near Sestito on his very first shift and I thought challenged him. He also challenged Rinaldo, who ran like a gazelle being chased by a cheetah. No mention of them? Not surprised. Shelley never challenged Rupp but I'm glad to know he was ready. They had words, so what?

Prust doesn't owe any of them goofs a fight. He leads the league in fights and has a more than respectable card. You should listen to phillyfan 11 and not treat Bourdon like he is a chump. Yopu would probably be the first to list him when listing Flyer tough guys but now you turn on the waterworks because someone fought him.

Every fight by Boyle looks like it's his first. He always seems to be trying to figure out how to grab on, and how to throw a punch. He's awful.

TKO win for Prust. Bourdon's lucky he kept the visor on, likely would've been much worse for him otherwise.
