Wayne Simmonds vs Matt Martin

Good scrap. Martin bowls over Lilja with a good open ice hit and Simmonds calls him out and they go. Both land one pretty good right, Martin's looked a little better. Simmonds added a couple stiff jabs. Draw I'd say.

No draw in the game though. Flyers are rolling and the Fishsticks are packing. Maybe a couple more scraps as the score is out of hand at 3-0.

Martin landed the best punch but it was the only one he landed. Simmonds got in a good right and two solid lefts. I could see an argument for Martin as he got that right in there, but Simmonds landed too. I'll look at the replay.

Glad Martin can add toughness after losing Konopka and Gillies. It is nice to see Haley with him also.

damn, Simmonds is having an active fight year and putting the puck in the net.

Simmonds and Hartnell could both be 25+ G's and 100+PIMS. Not bad to have two guys like that on the same team this day and age. 15 years ago I'm sure this was the standard to a degree.


I also want to call out that prick Lilja for showing his lack of male parts when challenged twice by Martin in the third when it seemed the game was well on its way to ending that way. You're a huge dude who tries to play physical. Own the frick up for it...especially when you initiated the whole confrontation with Martin. I hate this guy.
