Scott Hartnell vs Drew Stafford

Hartnell catches Ennis with a borderline hit from behind. Stafford doesn't like it and they drop them. Quick fight, Hartnell lands a couple good rights for the win, Stafford gets a spin down and that's that. Good hockey all around.

Scott Hartnell vs Drew Stafford

Hartnell hits Tyler Ennis from behind along the boards and Stafford doesn't like it and issues the challenge. Hartnell is quick to oblige and both guys take their helmets off and square off... They come together quickly and Hartnell throws 4 rights that miss and lands a bomb that clearly stunned Stafford. Stafford turns his head and Hartnell keeps throwing rights, one which may have landed. Stafford throws a wild right and it's hard to tell if it landed and Hartnell goes to the ice, not sure if it was momentum but Hartnell was flailing so likely. Hartnell definitely was in control and landed the best shot.

Good to see Stafford step up for his teammate but with Kaleta, Ott, Foligno, Scott on the bench he should wait and let others do the fighting. Anyways he hang in but lost.

Win Hartnell

I wouldn't count on Scott doing anything or possibly even seeing the ice again, two shifts through two periods. Good to see somebody try to step up rather than cry for a penalty even if he lost.

All of those guys you mentioned have shown no interest in fighting or even doing anything about Hartnell hitting their captain from behind. If it wasn't Stafford, it wasn't going to be anybody. The Sabres have shown they're as soft as the Flyers today.

Win Hartnell.

good to see that they took their helmets/visors off....

nice effort by stafford, foligno was on the ice so that would have been the better option...
