Chris Neil vs Aaron Rome

Chris Neil catches Henrik Sedin with his head down and flattens him. Daniel comes in and starts talking face to face with Neil while the play is still going on. Aaron Rome makes a beeline for Neil and after they engage they drop the gloves. This one was all Neil as Rome was out of his league but showed up. Neil landed a few but Rome was missing or coming up short with all his punches.

Win Neil.

Rome gets 2, 5 and 10 for instigator, refs let him off for not having his jersey tied down.

Canucks down to 4 d men until Rome is back.

Neil might have landed a left to start, Rome then landed a solid right, Neil then got Rome's helmet off and landed a few lefts as Rome's jersey came off and Neil got the take down.

Win Neil, Rome got the Bettman package.

Pretty good review for a pretty bad fight. I thought for sure they were going to go down early as they were standing on sticks and gloves. Rome got a decent shot in early, then Neil sort of controlled him until they hit the ice. Nothing big landing either way. Draw or a slight edge to Neil in a crappy fight after a solid hit on one of the twins. Rome continued to yell at Neil from his back as the refs were pulling them apart, and Neil threw a bit of a forearm long after the fight was finished.

Sens stinking out the joint and needing a spark, get one from Neil. Clean, huge hit on Hank, Daniel comes in and shoves him. Neil expecting someone else and Rome obliges. Rome outclassed and jersey'd. Buttman package but nothing for no tie down.

Refs reluctant to give Neil a penalty... could have had at least 3 minors.

Hard hit by Neil, but I'm constantly amazed at how the Sedins are able to bounce right back up after getting smoked, time and time again. Tougher than a lot of people give them credit for....

Of course I like what Rome did, outclassed or not. Not only is that your captain, but Rome might be the odd mna out once Salo comes back to the Canucks and he should be doing everything he can to stay in the lineup, including getting his nose dirty once in a while. I don't think he did too badly in this scrap, but Neil still won it. Still, good for Rome.

Thought Ottawa was on their way to sh!tting the bed tonight, but they're coming back nicely....

I can't stand Neil, but that was a great hit. That dumbass was standing at open ice looking at his feet for the puck and its a hit like that that makes this the NHL. Even with all of the garbage crackdown. Players have to pay the price for not paying attention.

Oh, and WIN Neil.

nice good hit by Neil, he thought better then to take on the other twin, and then just beat the other guy that came in and challenged him in Rome.

What a BS call. Rome didn't really Instigate that. He tied Neil up and basically said "You know I gotta Do this" and Neil accepted. They both dropped the gloves at the same time. Another BANG-UP job by the Zebras. <--- Sarcasm
