You do realize that Ottawa's big question was his health. That's why they offered him what they offered him. We all know that he wasn't 100 percent last year. And Maclean thanking him pretty much says that he was valued. If I'm Carkner and a team shows me 3 years I'm taking that deal over a 1 year deal. He had a serious injury. Ottawa's skeptical on him and thus a one year deal. The Isles offered three, a commitment regardless of potential health issues. It's business. Plus, Ottawa has Chris Neil to keep people under control.

You got played with the whole argument about Prust's value. Based on your logic Sather didn't value Prust which he obviously did. Prust got a BETTER deal just like Carks did and took it. Asham is a cheaper fill in for Prust given one of Prusts roles and Rupper plays the same exact game. It's business dude. That's what the posters were trying to prove with the argument about Sather not valuing him. Not sure where you missed that.

Regardless, the contract stuff says nothing about the incident or the guy.
