Textbook enforcing by Carkner, one of the few left who will actually do it. Isles will enjoy his services.

I don't and the proof is in the pudding. He is gone! If he was so valuable in Ottawa, why is he gone?

Why is he gone? Were fans, players, managers, and media just lying about Prust's qualities? I guess they must have been. I mean the proof is in the pudding right? He's gone so the Rangers must not have liked Prust at all. Based on your stupid f*cking bigjoke logic, that's got to be the case. OR JUST F*CKING MAYBE Like with Carkner, the economics of the game changed things and both players (who were very appreciated by their clubs) moved on. That couldn't possibly be it, could it?

Where was Carkner during Ottawa's most important game of the season which was game 7 of the playoffs? In a suit eating popcorn! That's how important that he was! Ottawa also offered him a ONE YEAR DEAL! Sather offered Prust 3 years at 6 million which was fair and reasonable! He was able to get 4 years at 10 million! A ONE YEAR CONTRACT OFFER TELLS US ALOT ABOUT WHAT OTTAWA THOUGHT OF CARKNER! I just looked and Prust played 14 minutes and 32 seconds in game 7 against Ottawa in the playoffs! He averaged 12 minutes during the regular season and yet in game 7 Torts played him almost 3 minutes longer! Carkner was in a suit scratching his nuts in the pressbox asking for the popcorn!

Stop with your bullsh*t! From the fans to the coaches and Sather all love Prust but can't justify paying him 2.5 million a year when a guy like Stepan makes $800,000 and scored 51 points last year! Torts and Prust spoke last night for a while and each loves the other! Prust wrote about that today and said Sather is great also but he can't turn down 10 million dollars! Prust quote: Prust, 28, who made $800,000 last season, said he got an offer from Montreal he couldn’t refuse. “I talked to Torts (John Tortorella) today. . . I know we both like each other, and we both wanted to come back, but in the end, the (Rangers) just weren’t really there or anywhere close to where Montreal was,” Prust said via conference call from his hometown of London, Ontario. 3 years and 6 million up from $800,000 is fair and prudent! 4 years and 10 million is ridiculous but I can't blame Prust! That is 4 million more dollars!

It's called having a budget and a Cap and having a young team with many raises soon to come to young excellent talent!
Intelligent hockey fans get that and understand it! They took two polls in NY papers and overwhelmingly everyone loves Prust but agreed with Sather that 10 million over 4 years was excessive! I haven't read or heard one player, coach, or upper management say one bad word about Prust and everyone wanted him back! To say otherwise is stupid and ignorant! Case Closed! Prust confirmed that in his quote obviously!

Come on Jack. This was about an incident, not overall value to a team. Carkner not being welcomed back doesn't mean anything. What he did that game was obviously well appreciated by his team and coach, not to mention many fans of many teams, including some Rangers fans.

Guys like Brodeur to his credit wasn't about the money and was more about winning and sharing the budget so his team could keep as many of the core as was possible to continue to win! Most times we see athletes take the best offer and then realize that opps I am making more money but playing with sh*t! It's ridiculous for BO to make some claim that Prust is gone because NY didn't want him! That is just stupid!
