Jared Cowen vs Petteri Nokelainen

These two drop the gloves along the Ottawa bench. Noke throws a right that looked like it didn't land, then goes into full-out grapple mode. Cowan is struggling to get his right arm free and once he throws a quick left jersey jab, its free. He lands 4 quick uppercuts, then the grapple a bit more. Cowan then lands 6 more uppercuts in a row till the linesmen break it up.

Cowan with the easy win, although they were non-damaging, short uppercuts.

Obviously this one was a win for Cowen, although the punches didn't look to have much lasting effect. I really like the way Nokelainen plays the game though, the guy sticks up for himself even when he's way overmatched. He's now got scraps against Sauer, Deveaux, and Cowen this year, not an unimpressive card for a guy who rarely drops the mitts.

Fights sure are easy when the opponent keeps his head down and doesn't even throw a punch. Win Cowen.

Would have been cool to see Neil and Staubitz have a go. Oh well.
