Patrick Kaleta vs. Zack Smith

Early in the first, Kaleta seems to issue the challenge in this one. The camera is late getting in, so I am not sure if there was a square off or not. When the camera got there, Kaleta was beating Smith to the punch. Both guys were throwing, but Kaleta's were landing quick and flush. Z. Smith, despite lowering his chin and firing back, was unable to really get anything going, and most of his shots missed their mark. Kaleta landed some solid punches in this spirited scrap.

Win Kaleta in a fun little scrap.

Love having Smith in the lineup.

Mike Fisher was just ejected on a Kaleta dive on an icing play.

How about the 'hit' on kaleta by fisher on the icing... look like he barely touched him...

Fisher and Kaleta having at it at the face off. Fisher with the Butt-end of a stick when the puck drops then boards Kaleta later in the play. 5min for Boarding and a game.

That was disgusting. Fisher shouldn't have put himself in that situation to give Kaleta the opportunity to draw the penalty, but that was very similar to Downie diving on that Laraque "hit."

As a Sabres fan, I am ashamed to have Kaleta on the team. He has a great scrap one shift, then he's throwing himself into the boards in another after a weak push. That was a bad call on the major.
