Terrible excuse for a fight between Neil and Chara. I really wish Neil hadn't chosen to do the honorable thing and had rocked that oversized overrated oaf once he slipped. If that was the response for Neil going after Seidenberg last game, it was incredibly weak.

Even though the second fight was also pretty weak, I loved seeing Recchi drop the gloves with Campoli. And despite Edwards babbling like a moron, as usual, this one was just a draw.

At about 3:10, Cherry shows a clip of Neil and Chara shaking hands and having a chat in the hallway before the game. Thought it was funny. Also kudos to Neil for not pumping Chara when he was down, and Chara gave him a pat on the back after.

I agree you, just most of us dont see the clear fact that Chara lost his balance and Neil had the advantage in the end, Neil did a gentleman move when not goes punching helpless Chara.
Chara just looked horrible in this one.
NARROW WIN C.Neil in bad tilt.

Recchi with the EDGE/NARROW WIN over Campoli as he controlled the bout.
Not much landed but i got 2-3 shots by Recchi.
Thats impressive show by old papa.

As a die hard B's fan i can say that i'm completely embarrassed. Chara's display was absolutely pathetic... If that's enforcing, then i'm beyond angry... so pathetic.

Bring up 87, my god that was awful.

Man, Chara is pathetic. He has to be one of the worst fighters in the league. At least he'll always have Jack Edwards in his corner.

Just a question...didn't Chara a few years ago punch Ivanians when he was in a similiar position knocking Ivanians out with a broken obital bone. Props to Neil for not smacking the lug but if anyone deserves a cheap shot like that it's Chara....

edit: Neil just baaaarely restrained himself from throwing that punch, I gotta wonder what would have happened if it hadn't been a former teammate.

Two very lackluster bouts, yikes Jack Edward's commentary..someone punch that bowl cut idiot. Nice to see the Recching Ball get into a fight at his age.

I used to want to see Chara fight more. After seeing that pathetic excuse for a scrap, I'd rather he just keep his gloves on. At least the Recchi/Campoli scrap was spirited.

What I am thinking is Chara maybe bailed Neil out in this one. Kinda a little weird Huh that he would fight him they were prob. best of friends, not sure looked a little strange though. As far as the Reechi fight he was 1 tough SOB in his early day's with the Flyers. So in my opinion that was really not out of sight.

Chara didn't do too well with the strength and center of gravity of Neil, but make no mistake, that one punch Chara attempted had some pepper on it. I don't think he bailed, he just has awful balance. I remember hearing Denis Potvin and Dean Brown talking about how Chara has exceptionally small feet for his size. I believe his shoes are size 11 or something ridiculous like that. Chara said that this is why he is pretty mobile for a guy his size, but at the same time, he has very short blades for his frame, which is why he can't seem to stay on his feet in a scrap. Not making any excuses for either guy, just trying to make some sense of Chara's balance issues. Sometimes he looks impossible to knock over, while other times he is skating on banana peels. I think it's the fact that he's got average sized feet attached to his over-sized frame.
