is he VERY effective...YES. is he as good a fighter as he was at 24 ... NO.

sail away fool. i've got more footage that will never see youtube, at least not thru my stuff. i've got about a dozen AHL fights on dvd and i saw him play at the rink a half dozen times
Why the name calling? Before you begin to look foolish, fighting in the AHL is different than fighting in the NHL...is that something that you didn't notice? As I stated earlier...look at Thorton's fight card from last year...you don't see a top class fighter there? If you don't I guess you and I just view things differently. Didn't this very forum declare Thorton a winner in his bout with Boogaard last year? I would surmise that would be a difficult accomplishment for someone in the twilight years of their fighting ability.

If more name calling is part of your next post I will simply ignore you.

call the shots the way they are zippy.

how is it different ? all the players have two fists and they use them to hit with.

anyone who claims Thornton is the same fighter as 5 years ago is deluded. go back to sleep. or just sail away. the Thornton of 5 years ago would have mad short work of an average Konopka.

next you'll be claiming Konopka is a better fighter than Stock was.do the forum a favor. sail away.

Thornton,Sh vs Gillies 3-20-05 AHL wmv.wmv ...

I'm sorry but your a moron. Being from Montreal it's humorous that you would call out any fighter.

Off the top of my head: Gill turned down Horton
Blunden and Darche, Turned down Thornton.
Subban turned down half of the Bruins roster.
