Really good bout. Win to Shawn Thornton, IMO. He landed the better, flusher shots, while Neil didn't seem to land all that flush, or much at all. Much better punches landed from Thornton, and more of them.

Turn the sound off.

Thorton may have had the best punch of this great toe to toe, but not enough to earn a win. Neil came back with a couple of decent punches. DRAW.

Great fight. I'll give slight edge to Thornton for landing harder and more.

It's too bad the voting system ain't idiot proof.
Read the thread again. Half the people are saying edge/win Thornton. And it's about 64% that voted him the winner not 80%.

If I had to give an edge it might go to Thornton, though again, first viewing my inclination is draw. Both landed a few very solid shots, trading toe-to-toe. A lot of fun. Thornton may have landed a few more, though. Still, on first viewing I'll go with a draw. If you just listen to the Bruins announcers though, you'd think Thornton landed 50 shots and Neil landed none. Oh well, it was fun anyway. Great scrap! Let's hope it sparks the Sens.
Really ? I thought this was one of Jack's least homer calls !

Upon first view I was inclined to give a draw as well, but after review I have to give edge Thornton .

Id have to agree...usually i leave the sound off when he is calling a fight cause no matter how the fight goes the bruin fighter kills the othe guy in his calls but this was prob the least "homerish" call ive heard from him

I never, and I mean NEVER have the sound on while watching the fight vids. I can't stand to hear any of the play by play guys when they call fights. To me it's a distraction when I'm trying to see who landed what and how many.
Win Thornton, quality over quanity is the reason.

Great fight and a draw.

I don't see a win for either guy. I know Thornton landed a few more but Neil is just an animal, I don't think you can hurt this guy with punches, I think it needs to be a bat or a skate or something.

Edwards actually called it pretty fair for him. lol
