Chris Neil vs. Shawn Thornton

Neil's out there, trying to fire up his teammates. He and Thornton come together along the boards in the neutral zone and drop the mitts.

I counted several punches from each guy that looked like they landed.

I'll call it a draw.

Chris Neil vs Shawn Thornton

They square off behind the play and they make it count. Neil starts with a couple, then Thornton responds with 3 hard rights that connect, and then they go toe to toe and keep going toe to toe, each landing at will. Towards the end they tire and begin to slow down, but they still go shot for shot. Great ****ing fight.

Draw

Glad to see Thornton get a fight. He is one of the most exciting fighters in the league when he drops the gloves.

First view I have an edge for Neil, but will need to see another replay.

Nice little scrap. They both landed some good punches, of course Jack Edwards goes crazy when Thornton lands anything.

I say draw as well hope the B's score some more goals and this gets out of hand.

AWESOME FIGHT....I would say maybe edge Thorton for landing about 3 or 4 punches after they went toe-to-toe. Both guys toe-to-toe both landing hard shots and then they ease up and Throton lands about 3or 4 unanswered shots. Both fights then grapple and throw a few more punches nothing exciting then the refs step in.

What a slugfest, great fight!!! On first viewing I'd give it a draw.

If I had to give an edge it might go to Thornton, though again, first viewing my inclination is draw. Both landed a few very solid shots, trading toe-to-toe. A lot of fun. Thornton may have landed a few more, though. Still, on first viewing I'll go with a draw. If you just listen to the Bruins announcers though, you'd think Thornton landed 50 shots and Neil landed none. Oh well, it was fun anyway. Great scrap! Let's hope it sparks the Sens.

Decent scrap i'll say draw on first viewing. I actaully thought it would of been Carnker fighting instead.

I thought this game was one of the reasons Carkner was brought up in the first place?

Me too, when the announcers said, "Here we go," I definately thought it would be Carkner.

Same here. I was with my father and brother and said Carkner vs. Thornton before seeing Neil.

It was a good scrap, and I am going edge Thornton at this time.

I think we all thought it would be Carkner. But hey, after that fight, I don't think any of us will complain.

To be honest, when I heard Carnker was called up I personally expected Thornton to fight both Neil and Carkner tonight. It was just a hunch...after that slugfest with Neil, who knows how much gas Thornton will have left. But if anyone will have gas after a scrap like that, it'll be Thornton.

got real lucky on this one, i caught it online seconds before it happened, i gotta say this was a truly awesome bout, both threw and took a bunch

on ist view i say thornton by a close decision due to a absolute bomb that landed square to neils face, but great showing by both and a must see !!

Hopefully the game gets out of hand and we see some more scraps. Carkner vs Chara would be entertaining.
