McGinn did win the fight pretty handily. He did have the shield vs face advantage, but Newbury wanted it.

That McGinn-Newbury fight was a dandy. Haymaker fest. I thought McGinn was going to be in trouble early because Newbury got the jump on him, but the kid battled back well and gets the win in a good one.

I got a better idea....Keep Rinaldo, McGinn, and Sestito/Shelley (rotating them) and let Wellwood go back to the Phantoms and Fedotenko gets cut (never liked that signing)

McGinn controlled the fight, landed more, landed better. Unless the CSN feed edited out all of Newbury's punches.

This sounds like the best idea.

I frigging hate visors!!! Not that Mcguin came looking for the fight. But you could see Newbury shying away from throwing bc he hit that visor with a bunch of solid shots. But without taking anything from Mcguin, that was a great fight with Mcguin landing some good shots. Just can't help but think its a whole different fight without a visor as would a lot of fights.

Rinaldo who?

Win Mcginn

Gotta hand it to Newbury. He stood there and kept taking 3-4 good shots just to get one in.

see the thing is mcginn doesnt fight often. Hes a team guy. Stands up for his teammates. So i dont see him having a problem with the shield that he wears. it wasnt a square off or anything or otherwise id have a problem with it

I wonder how it would have played out if both guys squared off and dropped the buckets?

I just watched the fight again, and how anyone can call that anything but a win for McGinn is beyond me. McGinn had punches in bunches that went unanswered before Newbury would throw a punch. Not only that, Newbury had one glove on for half the fight. What was that about?

Win Bickel normally I don't like giving wins to an instigator call but it was sestito and he is a capable fighter and the jump wasn't that great...

McGinn IMO dominated that fight with some very hard punches connecting.

Man, McGinn withstood a couple hard rights from what could be classified as a jumping by Newbury. He came back to control and win the fight pretty easily. Well done.

Win McGinn in a slugfest. Newbury landed a few solid shots but Mcginn connected with more and better.

McGinn with a decisive win over Newberry. Once he got set he just kept throwing and landing, Newberry had nothing in return. I'm not sure Newberry would be able to effectively return fire even if McGinn didn't have a visor.
