His height and weight kind of shoot down your logic. Unless John Scott is also a good MW who shouldn't have to fight the heavies (since they beat his ass).

Clownshoes from you as per SOP.

Your weight class kinda depends on ability and role. Enemy though Bickell has some size, I wouldn't claim he is a heavy weight because if ability and team role. Sestito is not a heavy and he is huge. Occasionally they may have to step up and answer the bell but being 6'4 does not automatically mean your a heavy. IMO

Lilburtis,
First time poster who calls it straight. Please tell me what I said is wrong:
Mcginn hammered Newbury who looked to get going first. Yes or No?

Bickell is fun as hell to watch and I would like him in orange and black? Yes or No?

Bickell's card is loaded with middleweights? Please tell me 1 nhl heavy hes beaten. Yes or No? Olsen in the minors may be his best win. But no NHL heavy. Care to defend?

Sestito is a Flyer and no heavy!!
I love ranger fans who call out flyer posters but are the worst homers around. All I have said up top is true. Please tell me where I have been wrong. Homer.

Yeah... "Weight class" in hockey fighting is determined by physical stature, right Sally?

Bickel isn't a HW. Pick your thong out of your ass and run along....

I'm with Jack. Completely agree.

And Pesa, completely agree with you.

My take on the visor thing, bc its mandatory in juniors/AHL, you're seeing more and more guys who fight wear them bc its just normal to them and they're used to it. I don't know if McGinn would wear it or not if it wasn't mandatory especially in the AHL.

Also, these guys who fight in the AHL (like Newbury) are imo not worried about the visor bc they'd have to do it regardless unless it's a square off. It is what it is. To complain constantly about it and claim it's the only reason a guy lost/didn't win etc. is blatant homerism and making excuses. Guys know what they're getting into when they decide to scrap and Newbury wanted McGinn.

I'm almost positive if this were 35 years ago the same "visor" whiners would probably have complained that so and so lost a fight because he was afraid to throw a punch bc so and so was wearing a helmet and the other wasn't.

Agreed. If Newbury wants to go after a much bigger guy with a visor on, that's his choice. I think he's nuts but that's on him.

Bickel seems to have Sestito's number. I don't view him as a true heavy based on his card and couldn't give him much of a shot against an Orr, McGrattan etc. The guy is fun to watch though.

Win Bickel
Win McGinn

Bickel with the impressive showing and takes the win against Sestito in the first scrap.

Newbury-McGinn turned out to a real great tilt, with Newbury getting things started early, but then McGinn settled in and totally took over the fight to pick up a clear win.

Aside from that the majority of Flyers fans on here are alright, but then there's the people that just love to hate the Rangers. They make multiple accounts then wonder why the get banned
It goes both ways though, take a look at Nyrpack and bigjacks posts in this thread and tell me they are not homer posts....
