I've seen some really outstanding members on this site get completely brainwashed by the new NHL. Old school guys are on here crying over this player or that player not getting suspended. It's sad to see. It really is. This game is fukked. The hitting is being taken out of the game and so is the responsibility of other players to protect themselves at all times.

I haven't heard anything yet about the injury but I just opened up the NYPost and you would puke if you saw what I am seeing. You know I think a few feet from the boards is a bad spot to hit someone in but they are going overboard. Headline - HURTFUL; Cheap hit mars big Rangers win. Torts - "It's one of the most dangerous plays I have seen in a while". Luckily I saw that it is a phone hearing for Ference only so I think the suspension will be on the light side.

Yeah I don't think ference has a history of suspensions or cheap play - although some would have you believe he is a sneaky, low key dirty player who gets away with all kinds of cheap crap. I figured any suspension wouldn't be too much. I was thinking a fine would suffice but i wasn't sure about McDonough and if he was injured or not.

Still waiting for Simmonds to get suspended for his cheap knee to Giroux's head!

after watching it a few times i guess id give the edge to rupp although i wouldn't argue against a draw. i find it amusing that in this thread everyone says win rupp or draw, but in the anonymous voting 42 percent have voted for thornton and only 11 percent for draw. I wonder if theres a way to make the voting not anonymous, so we could see who was voting and how.

Make the voting public. then the mods can put together a group or crew of objective personalities to keep an eye on the homer voters. warn them or boot them out. would help to really weed out the idiots who skew the vote tally and make for more accurate fight calls and won-loss records.
