NY Islanders at NY Rangers 2/14/13

Eric Boulton vs Arron Asham

Early in the first period and behind the play they drop the gloves - they start out spinning a lil with right hands locked out, with right hands cocked out they then start to throw they then exchange some right hands and Bouton seems to be throwing a lil more and landing (some helmet) Aasham goes to a knee (probably a slip) they exchange a couple more and its over

Spirited bout - Draw, maybe edge to Boulton

Tough to tell what landed because of the camera angle but for now I'd give Boulton the win for controlling the fight and being more active.

Not sure if Boulton landed any to the face. A handful to the back of the helmet for sure. They were ducking and chucking and were able to dodge most of the punches but Asham did sneak in at least 3 that actually hit flesh. Not enough for a win because those back of the helmet shots probably had some effect but there is no way in hell Asham lost that fight.

Not sure what is going on around here but I have seen Bortuzzo, Boll, and now Boulton given credit wins recently and they are lucky if they hit their opponent in the face 3 times between them. It's like punches thrown has become the main factor in deciding a winner.

Boulton threw more punches (for sure), i dont know how many connected (i said he hit helmet) but on first take he threw more punches and seemed to control the fight a lil more than Asham did

To be fair another viewing would be great

Not you goon. You said draw and maybe a win for Boulton. I was more surprised when I went into Possible Fights and the first few were giving Boulton the decision. I expected to see draw or edge Asham after watching it live. I had to rewind and slow it down and it was pretty much what I saw the first time. Asham landed a good one early and late with another in there somewhere. It was a very hard fight to see with that stupid one ice angle which always leads to linesmen getting in the way so that may be it.

Someone better really control the fight to get a win based on that for me. Bortuzzo is the only one I would even think about from the 3 fights I mentioned.

Good tilt. Too hard to call a winner. Draw.

Nice respect shown at the end by both boys. Love it.

Eric Boulton vs Arron Asham

Good fight that lasted for awhile. I saw a pretty even exchange of punches, but had a hard time seeing what actually landed. I would love to see another angle to try and see what landed and what did not.

Good Draw.

Agreed. Don't see what other folks are seeing in fights often this season. I scored this a spirited draw.
