I think Carkner managed to land the better shots in this scrap against Peters. Edge Carkner.

Pretty decent fight between those two heavies. I think I voted a draw only because it didn't look like much damage was done by either guy but Carkner did real well in the first fight I have seen him against a legit heavy. His stock goes up a few points.

That spot picking Carkner edges out a Win over Peters.

Q: Why didn't the NHL award Hamilton a professional hockey franchise?

A: Because then Toronto would want one too.

Are you giving edge Carkner because you hate A.Peters so much?

Who are you directing that question at?

Clearly I gave Carkner the edge because he has whiter teeth.

Since when do YOU consider Peters a legit heavy?

Carkner fought Brashear earlier this year.

I gave it to Carkner. i thought he landed better and looked like Peters might have bailed at the end by grabbing carkner's jersey with both hands and tossing him to the ice where he landed one.

I think I have to call this one a draw. Carkner landed the best shot, but it was only one IMO, not two, that were really effective. I have trouble giving a guy a win over one shot when the rest of the fight is more or less even. Now, if that shot is huge, very damaging, etc, that's a different story. Carkner's left was solid, but it wasn't amazing. An edge to Carkner for sure, but a clear cut win? Not quite. I think in Peters' current form Carkner wins much more often than not, but this fight wasn't enough to get him a clear cut W.

Since forever. I hate his style personally but in this fight he opened up a bit and explains why he uses the chuck n duck because he gets tagged when he opens up. He's big, strong, and has a decent right hand, that makes him a legit heavyweight, he also has plenty of experience.

I didn't see Carkner fight Brashear, I've only now seen him fight Peters and Carkner makes a good showing for himself there and Peters didn't do poorly or anything. It was a good fight, I think i gave it a 7 or 8, at least they didn't wrassle, they threw. Nice.

I wouldn't say he's particularly good, but when he tips the scales at a shade under 250, I'd say he's legitimately heavy.
