I actually say it's a draw because while Neil landed a higher quantity of punches, I thought some of the punches that Boulton landed were a higher quality - particularly the late barrage that included the right that took off Neil's helmet.

I agree with corpse. Neil looked like he was landing much cleaner for most the fight. Boulton was tagged early and did a good enough job weathering the storm so he could land a few nice ones late but he was behind by a good amount by then. Win Neil in a great scrap.

Gotta give the edge to Neil.

He positioned himself better from the beginning and was able to channel out a lot of Boulton's bombs. Great scrap though, and both fighters landed some effective blows.

There was a time when both of these guys were heavily criticzed on this board. At this point in their careers I don't see how any fight fan could have a promblem with these two. Before I even hit play I saw the names knew it would be a good scrap with both fighting to win. Great job by both.

Edge Neil. Great scrap though. That one uppercut from Neil-which I think is the one that is responsible for Boulton's leak-was a thing of beauty.

So Neil has a win over Boulton and drew with Steve Downie.

What kind of punching bad did Eric Boulton become?

Draw. By the way - if you draw with Boulton then you're a SERIOUS big boy. Eric Boulton is one of the best.
