Fuck, what a start.

I thought it looked like Carter hit his face on the ice when they went down, but could be wrong. Have to wait for a replay.

Hopefully they keep going. This could be Game of the Year.

This game is trending on Twitter.

When was the last time this happened for an NHL game?

According to my friend, Dave Maloney said on the radio that Deboer left Janssen off his lineup card and somehow added him late, so that is why Torts was so pissed (because he presumably would've dressed Scott if he knew). Don't know how they got away with that...but Torts should've dressed Scott regardless after previous games between us.

I think the original "plan" was to have Carter go with Dubinsky again, but Torterella told Bickel to take the face-off.

I thought Carter was really out of his weight class fighting Bickel, but I thought he did really well considering he's not a full time scrapper.

Dubi had/has a busted beak, they said in pregame he wasn't planning on going with anyone.

loved seeing Carter bleeding all over, he did well, but give Bickel credit for getting up off the ice, and deliver massive payback.

IMO of course.

Blood was squirting before he hit the ice.

Are you kidding??? JK Haha Carter looks like a beast haha. Everyone gets caught once in a while, and thats what happen to Carter, he was dominating until Bickel looked to break his beak. That being said, the kid is a great fighter, he has a monster right and hes not afraid to open up. But as we see, sometimes you get caught when you do open up.

Salvador had to take a third man in after seeing all the blood squirting off of carter. also looked like once bickel caught carter and took him down he wanted to legit kill him. good for bryce there. I'm still pumped and sweating from that start.

These two teams would be great for a series on HBO 24/7. Great start to the game. Hopefully some big hits and more goals will lead to some more rough stuff.

Nope, all 5 for fighting. Salvador got a 10 for trying to pull Bickel off of Carter.

I have a feeling there won't be anymore fighting in this game. I could be wrong, but with the playoff implications this game has and with the Devils being down 1-0, I think the opening fights were it.

Also, they just showed Bickel, man he is all busted up.

CLear replay on NBC just showed Carters FACE NEVER HITTING THE ICE. They showed a slwmo where you can see blood dropping to the ice from Carter before he went down.

Bickel must have a heck of a chin because he has a bunch of cuts on his face. Carter is now back and his nose looks jacked up and has a cut on his nose.

How did Boulton not get the gate for losing his jersey? It's nice to see him still in the game.
