Right before the announcer says "he's got 30 something stiches" Konopka ate a hard right, edge/win Clune.

Clune vs Konopka

Camera work and angle crappy, but, it looked like Z got in some early when he had Clune bent over. Clune does come back and gets in one fair and one good punch. If Z not looking like a zipper, I don't think Clune draws blood.

Edge Konopka

Win Konopka. He landed the only punches of the fight.

Like others said... typical Z fight.... but on the other hand... he's always willing to drop the gloves, even with 30 stitches. I like the guy even if his fights usually are more grapple than punch.

No Gratts? No Kassian? WTF.

Z with the W. He gets the best of Cluner early. Most of us get frustrated with Konopka's "style", but even with a cut up face he's not afraid to drop the pillows. He is a throwback player, most newer guys would have had a visor on and not even think about fighting. Boring fighter? Yes. Good for hockey? Hell Yes!
