Smyth vs. Campoli

Smyth hits Kovalev knee on knee and Kovalev looks to be hurt. Campoli immediately comes in and jumps on Smyth. Campoli just wrestles him to the ice, no punches are really thrown.

Crap draw.

can't believe Westgarth is out of the line up against Ottawa! i think this is a mistake. for some unknown reason, to me at least, games between these two teams always seem to get rough. kind of odd, but whatever it takes right?

I think he's in. This game is getting pretty chippy now.

Westgarth is in. He's listed as having a shift in the 1st period.

Yea someone in the possible fights thread said Ruutu took a run at Westgarth, so he IS in... As for Smyth, is this his first career fight? I know he's always played a hard-nosed style, but I don't remember him ever fighting...

Fight? What fight?

The game is getting good. I thought that was a B/S call on the Clifford/Simmonds no goal. Carkner grabbed the net and took it off. At least that's what the replay looked like, but I may have my game day homer glasses on???

Hopefully Clifford and Westie can drop the gloves tonight. There have been some big hits on both sides. Not sure the names of the sens players, but Clifford leveled a player in the Sens zone. hopefully the hitting keeps going and we get some real fights out of this.

Chris Neil vs Kevin Westgarth

off the faceoff they drop the gloves and they were throwing bombs, it looked like westgarth got the better of the 2/3rds of the fightot the better but neil got the better of the end, neil not surprisingly threw a lot of punches while Westgarth was on the ice.

EDGE Westgarth.
