Stortini vs. Rypien

Ryp challenges him off the draw Stortini takes a second a decides to oblige.

Stortini was swinging for the fences, throwin forearms and everything trying to get a win against Ryp. Ryp weathers the strom, starts to control the pace and switches hands a couple times.

Good fight. Stortini early, Ryp late.

Solid draw.

I called it a draw in my thread. He threw alot but didnt land alot and landed even less that meant anything. Good energetic fight by Storts tho, he really wants to flat out beat Ryp very badly. Ryp controlled it late and was taking over at the end. He caught Stortini square a couple times late, you could see his head snap back after one of Ryp's lefts.

Good fight by both guys.

When your 5'10" 170lbs and you fight guys who are 6'4" plus thats how you do it. If he didn't play good defense he would just get overwhelmed and beat down. Hes learnt alot since the Commodore, and Murray fights where he tried to go toe to toe and just throw. Hes very patient, protects himself and throws in flurries. Probably the most skilled fighter in the NHL. His dad being a boxer really shows in how he thinks fighting.

LONG scrap, pushing a minute in length.

Pretty clear DRAW imo.

Both guys throwing and landing, but nothing too damaging.

Definitely Stortini's best showing against Rypien after taking two beatings previously.

I know it's a lot to ask, but a rematch would be sweet.

Stortini is a way better player than fighter..Draw. When Ryp had the standing half turtle defense in effect Storts should have fed him some uppercuts, but he sucks at fighting...

Rypien with too much defence!!! no one really got to open up much... Hordichuk has been looking for a dance partner, he challenged Ryan Stone and now got in Visnovskys face...

Draw. Good scrap, but Rypien looked crazy with his defensive style. I don't know what the f*ck he was thinking. What good is holding up your forearm going to do?

Stortini should have thrown some uppercuts.

Win Stortini in my opinion but I could see an argument for a draw or rypien win.
