Zack Stortini vs John Scott

Stortini kept asking Scott to go, and finally they drop the mitts after Stortini checks Scott. They start throwing rights, nothing really connecting, except maybe a Scott right, but then Scott gets the jersey over Stortini's head and starts throwing hay-makers and uppercuts with the right. Decent scrap, win Scott.

my thoughts exactly. i didn't catch the very beginning, but it looked like Scott with the clear win.

sucks that Stortini's jersey came up because i'd like to see Scott destroy someone, but i'll take a good fight over his last .... attempt.

Yeah really. Scott's last "fight" made Crosby look like Konopka. Good to see Scott actually throw some this time.

Pretty good fight at the start then the jersey comes up over storts head and scott goes to town on stortini's face.... clear win scott... hope they go again in the 3rd stortini wasnt to happy that scott kept going well after the jersey was over his head

Have to wonder what Storts was thinking. Didn't anyone ever tell him to be careful of what you wish for.

He tried to egg this fight at the end of their shift before this, as you said, CJ.

that being said i think it sparked the oilers.... the next play hall makes an amazing play but cogliano fanned on the shot aswell... looks to me like the oilers are playing way better since stortini got his ass kicked

Agree to why he might have did it Goon, but he should have went after Boynton. He skates more minutes and is a big part of our D.

Plus he would have stood a better chance.

Scott won the fight, but he didn't really do it fairly. Watch the slo-mo replay. He actually dropped his gloves BEFORE Stortini made the hit, and started throwing punches after the hit was completed, before Storts even had time to drop the gloves or face his opponent.

Gotta wonder why Big John isn't so eager to face the legit heavies...hmm...

He's significantly bigger, got the jump, got his jersey up, and still did no damage.

Stortini fired up the troops.

Oilers won. Period.

Mac will be back by their next meeting. We'll see how Scott does against someone his size.

Actually, the only true heavyweights he's faced in the NHL are George Parros and David Koci, neither of who are worldbeaters.
