I completely agree that Bert did the right thing by taking on Weber right away. It sucks that he didn't do a great job of it, and Weber didn't do that great a job of defending himself either. It was a draw in a crappy fight, with a weak take down attempt, but it was the right thing for Bert to attempt. It was also encouraging to see Babcock applauding on the bench. They don't fight nearly enough in Detroit, but at least the coach recognizes what Bertuzzi was trying to do there.

crap fight but pretty sure Weber landed the best punch which was when Bert all of a sudden thought he was in the ufc and went for the takedown.

Would love to see someone give Bertuzzi a real good hiding but i reckon he would bail too fast

Nashville players to make tee time

I will say this about a fight a non hockey players saying anything about a hockey fight. I offer free golf tee time reservations for any Nashville players, they will need them in a couple of games. Feel free to give any of your Peres players the tip, I wouldn't want them to miss a chance for golf...

This fight reminded of the retribution fight between Sean Thornton and Matt Cooke a couple of years back after the Cooke hit on Savard. Thornton and Cooke knew what had to be done as did Bertuzzi and Weber. They fought, but they didn't really put everything into it. It was just an, "ok, let's do this and get it over with, case closed".

Bertuzzi went Brashear on Weber.

Yes, it needed to be done but Bert looked like a monkey focking a football.

Awful fight, draw.

And yes, we have set the bar so focking low that this garbage gets us excited.

By the way, Weber rules, he took a Swede and focked him up. Major props! I would have preferred Holmstrom getting turn buckled cuz Hank isn't a bad guy.

Sean Thornton??

Sry but the fights were totaly different... Thornton looked realy angry and was still throwing punches after cooke went down! Thornton normaly stops throwing punches but he thought that cooke didnīt get enough punishment! He didnīt fight to close the case, he was realy angry and wanted to punish cooke for his cheap shot!

Late to comment, but even if the fight wasn't very good, I'm always in favor of business being taken care of on the ice instead of by the league when it comes to things like this. The Wings were worked up over Weber's handling of Zetterberg, and Bertuzzi dropped the gloves in an effort to settle the score. That's how hockey is meant to be played. Weak draw in the fight.
