Gotta credit Booth, not just here but in general. Many guys with his concussion issues would try not to do anything fighting wise and avoid it like the plague. But he's still mixing it up occasionally and not going about it tentatively. I respect that.
The Sedins probably got upset and wanted two extra minutes on Olver for even shoving Booth to start.

Booth wins in a one sided fight, but man he looked awkward throwing punches. Also had his shield glued on. Olver didn't give him a chance to get rid of it though.
I think with his concussion history him and his teammates didn't want him involved in that way. That's why everyone was trying to get in there for him initially. Booth has been a really nice addition since he came over. I think he's got the kind of game that will translate nicely to playoff hockey. I've only seen this Olver kid play twice, but I've been really impressed with his willingness to get his nose dirty. He looks tiny, but doesn't back down at all. (Just looked it up and he's listed at 5'10" and 170...) |
