Landy is just fine and playing.

The point of hockey is to score goals, not just brawl. Even though it would be awesome if brawls held as much weight as goals.

Pre-2009-2010, that was a good, clean hit. But with the new rules after the Matt Cooke hit on Savard, I honestly have no idea if those type of hits are still clean or not. It looked like a north-south hit, but the head was the principal point of contact. So I'm lost!

Anyway, clean or dirty, it's a good response by O'Byrne and the Avalanche.

Looks like Brad Stuart's shoulder caught Gabriel Landeskog right in the head. Legality can be debated, but I can't see how that's "clean" and going to be left alone.

Correct. As an Avalanche fan, I still think those kinds of hits are absolutely fine. But I think the league may view it differently. Although the fact Landeskog wasn't badly hurt will play a role. The fact though is that the head seemed to be contacted. Not sure what else Stuart is to do in that situation though because there seemed to be no intent and he stayed compact.

It was a good and classic hockey moment. Captain gets hit hard, the team answers with a fight. Colorado´s chemistry is working just fine.

Bordeleau is playing a record ammount of minutes I hope he gets into a fight tonite

i share this sentiment as well...it wasn't an elbow like someone claimed it was. though the head was contacted due to landeskog putting it down. it was scott stevens style which weren't considered dirty, but now-a-days, who the hell knows what shanahan is gonna do.

Ask moderator Chilly666 if the YSTB forum is for posting about fights in games being played or if it used for solving how the teams scored on the powerplay. We use game day forum to post about goals and results of games.

As for me, the point of hockey is to fight and brawl, thats why I dont post on NHL.com

You say Stuart is a nobody, and yet you talk about O'byrne like he's worth a ****

4 0 now. I want Bordeleau to get in a scrap, but no one is going to willingly fight him on the sharks. (McLaren is scratched and would but that's it)

Now that should be ruled a clean hit with no suspension, but I have a feeling Stuart is going to hear from Shanaban tomorrow. I do like O'Byrne going in and sticking up for his captain, though.

Win O'Byrne.

Yeah and that will be the problem in the 3rd. I want Bordeleau to go badly tonight. Hopefully a Shark will man up which will happen VERY unlikely
