The only punch that landed in that whole fight was the last punch thrown by Rypien, it wasnt much of a fight but to give Eager the win when it looked like he went down from the only telling blow and landed nothing of his own?? is just stupid and those who gave Eager the win obviosly have a problem with Rypien.
draw/edge Rypien.

Everybody is saying Rypien is overrated, and Eager won this. I don't see it as a win for Eager. He didn't land anything except 4 shots to the back of the helmet. Rypien threw 2 , a right that connected and a left as Eager fell down. If Eager could have stayed up, Rypien would have made hamburger outta his face.

I saw this one as a solid Draw.
Eager did better than expected, but still suffers from horrible balance during the later portions of his fights. I dont remember the last time he was on his feet to end a fight.

I haven't any problems with Rypien. This is close fight, either draw or edge Eager. Hands down. |

I'm also wondering about that last punch thrown by Rypien - to me, that looks to have landed hard enough to put Eager off balance and put him down to the ice. I dunno if anyone has seen a slow-mo of this fight, but after Eager controlled the first half, Rypien came back with a decent right, then the left that ended the scrap.
If that punch landed, which I think did, I'd say win Rypien. If not, then a draw, edge to Eager. I would've loved to have seen these guys go at it fresh off the bench though.

Pretty sure that last left thrown by Rypien hits nothing but the left shoulder pad of Eager. Eagers head snaps back a little when Rypien lands a short right but no head movement whatsoever when that last left is thrown . Which leads me to believe it did not land on anything but shoulder pad............

Yeah, I think people can stop rubbing Rypiens balls by now. Really good fighter for his size that can sometimes beat on ****ty HW's like Stortini, but if he cant take care of business with a guy like Eager those threads about him facing off with Domi, Mirasty and the jokes about guys having the Rypien flu are a bit much.

And nah man, I don't have any problem with Rypien, I think he's over rated, but thats the fans not him. Either way, Draw/Edge Eager. |
